Pursuit of the Holiness Faith in Christ Jesus
Why Giva Apologetics?
GIVA Apologetics is a ministry that assumes faith in Jesus Christ and focuses on deepening understanding and commitment to holiness and Scripture among believers.
GIVA Apologetics differs from Christian Apologetics in that it starts with faith in Jesus Christ as a given. This ministry is specifically designed for believers, as faith in Christ needs no defense. Instead, it is a holy ordinance established and guaranteed by the Holy Spirit.
- Isaac Megbolugbe
Rooted in the broader Holy Scriptures, this ministry prioritizes the plain reading and meaning of Scripture over man-made knowledge and scholarship from various fields, including history, philosophy, science, and theology. We rely on the language of Scripture to harmonize our communication with the vocabulary of the Holy Scriptures, aligning with the understanding and writings of the ancient prophets and apostles. We remain silent on matters not written in Scripture, as Romans 15:4 reminds us: "Whatever was written in the past was written for our learning, so that through endurance and the encouragement of the Scriptures, we might have hope."
Our primary focus is on supporting adherents of the holiness faith who strive to be worthy of participation in the first resurrection, as described in Revelation 20:6: "Blessed and holy are those who share in the first resurrection. The second death has no power over them, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with him for a thousand years." Our emphasis is on articulating the coherence and credibility of Christian beliefs in the Holy Scriptures regarding the holiness faith and the quest for participation in the first resurrection.
