Introduction
As we step into the new year, the world around us seems to be growing increasingly chaotic. Amidst the uncertainty and turmoil, believers are called to stand firm, rooted in their faith and anchored in God’s Word. To cultivate resilience and peace in 2025, it’s essential to learn from Scripture and apply its timeless principles to our lives.
Two insightful articles from the GIVA Notes Series offer valuable guidance on this journey: “Life Happens Before Love Does: The Power of Proactive Preparation” and “Finding Stability in a Chaotic World: The Power of Planning and Faith.” These articles provide a powerful framework for planning, practice, and performance, helping believers navigate life’s challenges with confidence and hope.

The Heart, Mind, and Spirit Connection
In Proverbs 16:9, we’re reminded that “in their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps.” This verse highlights the importance of harmonizing our intentions and outcomes with God’s plans. Our heart and mind must work together to design, formulate, and produce our deliverables with impact and relevance, but our spirit must also be aligned with God’s Spirit.
This alignment enables us to move from risk management to success, as we trust in God’s sovereignty and guidance. Psalm 37:23-24 encourages us to delight in the Lord, knowing that He makes firm our steps and upholds us with is hand, even when we stumble.
A Call to Study and Application
As believers, we’re invited to study these two articles, allowing the wisdom of God’s Word to transform our lives. By applying the principles outlined in these articles, we can:
1. Develop a proactive approach to life, preparing for challenges and opportunities ahead.
2. Cultivate a deeper relationship with God, trusting in His sovereignty and guidance.
3. Harmonize our heart, mind, and spirit, ensuring our plans and actions align with God’s purposes.
As we embark on this journey, may God’s Spirit empower us to learn, grow, and apply these timeless truths. May our resilience and peace be fortified in 2025, as we stand firm on the Rock of Ages, Jesus Christ.
