But what does it mean to seek God’s kingdom first, and why is it essential for obedience?
Understanding the Kingdom of God
The kingdom of God refers to God’s reign and rule in our lives (Luke 17:20-21). It is a present reality, not just a future hope (Matthew 12:28). Seeking God’s kingdom means seeking His will, His presence, and His guidance in every aspect of our lives (Matthew 6:10).
Prioritizing God’s Kingdom
Seeking God’s kingdom first requires prioritizing our relationship with Him above all else. This means putting God’s will and desires ahead of our own (Matthew 16:24-26). It involves surrendering our lives to Him, trusting in His sovereignty, and relying on His strength (Proverbs 3:5-6).
Rationale for Obedience
