Holiness unleashes the power that purifies our lives similar to fire that unleashes power that purifies metal to obtain gold. Is this correct?

Just as fire burns away impurities in metal, leaving only the pure gold, holiness burns away sin and impurities in our lives, leaving us purified and transformed. This process is not always easy, but it’s necessary for our spiritual growth and transformation.
In Malachi 3:2-3, it’s written, “But who can endure the day of his coming? Who can stand when he appears? For he will be like a refiner’s fire or a launderer’s soap. He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver; he will purify the Levites and refine them like gold and silver.”
Similarly, in 1 Peter 1:7, it’s written, “These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies even so much precious gold.”
Holiness brings a refining fire into our lives, burning away:
– Sin and impurities
– Selfish desires and motivations
– Worldly influences and attachments
Leaving us:
– Purified and transformed
– Reflecting God’s character and glory
– Equipped for His purposes and kingdom
