Introduction

The message of Christianity is one of radical acceptance and love. God invites us to come to Him just as we are, without pretenses or pretensions. Our identity in Him is already established in Christ Jesus, and it is not based on our own merits or abilities.

Established in Christ

In Christ, our identity is secure and unshakeable. We are seen as righteous, holy, and beloved, not because of our own efforts, but because of Jesus’ finished work on the cross. Our worth and value come not from our performance, but from our position in Christ.

God’s Strength, Not Ours

Our abilities and capacities may be weakened and inadequate, but God’s strength is more than sufficient to make up for our deficiencies. We don’t have to rely on our own power or abilities to achieve God’s purposes. Instead, we can trust in His strength and provision, knowing that He is at work in us.

Insecurities Don’t Matter

Our insecurities and doubts don’t matter because Jesus has already won the victory. He has overcome the world, and His triumph is our triumph. We can stand confidently in His finished work, knowing that our salvation is secure and our future is bright.

Two Essential Steps

To experience the fullness of God’s love and power, we need to take two essential steps:

1. Put your trust in Jesus Christ: Trusting in Jesus means relying on Him alone for our salvation and well-being. It means acknowledging our limitations and weaknesses, and looking to Him for strength and guidance.

2. *Surrender and invest your free will in His purposes and glory*: Surrendering to God’s purposes means yielding our will and desires to His greater plan. It means investing our time, talents, and resources in things that bring Him glory and advance His kingdom.

Conclusion

In conclusion, coming to God as we are requires humility, trust, and surrender. We don’t have to pretend to be something we’re not or try to earn God’s love. Instead, we can rest in the finished work of Jesus Christ, trusting in His strength and provision. As we surrender our lives to Him and invest our free will in His purposes, we can experience the fullness of His love and power.
