Introduction
God’s desire is aligned with His will to redeem humanity, and His love requires the gift of free will for humanity to choose to invest in His desire. This decision facilitates the opportunity for humanity to choose not to invest their free will in God’s will. However, by accepting God’s salvation through His Son and manifesting thanksgiving through prayer and intercession, we can align our free will with God’s desire.

The Importance of Prayer and Intercession
In 1 Timothy 2:1-8, Paul urges believers to make petitions, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgiving for all people. This includes praying for kings and those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. The basis for this is that God wants everyone to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.

God’s Desire for All People
The Bible emphasizes that there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself as a ransom for all people (1 Timothy 2:5-6). This highlights God’s desire for all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.

The Power of United Prayer
The Moravians’ 110-year prayer vigil is a powerful example of the impact of united prayer. By praying intentionally and continuously, they unleashed supernatural power that can be a model for us today. Paul’s instruction to Timothy to charge others to pray, lift up holy hands, and unite in spirit to God emphasizes the importance of pure and intentional worship.

Characteristics of Worship that Pleases God
The kind of worship that pleases God is characterized by:

– Petitions, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgiving: Making requests, praying, interceding, and giving thanks for all people.
– Purity and intentionality: Worshiping God with pure hearts and intentional actions, not by compulsion.
– Unity: Uniting as a Church to worship God without division, but in oneness of heart and holiness.
– Reaching out to souls: Prioritizing the salvation of others and getting rid of anything that can hinder our worship and supplication according to God’s will.

Conclusion
In conclusion, God’s desire is aligned with His will to redeem humanity, and our response should be to invest our free will in His desire through prayer, intercession, and thanksgiving. By understanding the importance of prayer and intercession, and by worshiping God with purity, intentionality, and unity, we can align our lives with God’s desire for all people to be saved.
