A Testimony of God’s Sovereignty and Faithfulness

As I reflect on my life’s journey for the purpose of writing my memoirs, I am reminded of God’s sovereignty and faithfulness. Despite the challenges and trials I faced, God remained steadfast, guiding me through the ups and downs of life.
In my marriage, I chose to obey God’s ordinance, “What God has joined together, let no man separate” (Mark 10:9). However, my mother-in-law’s opposition and influence led to a tumultuous relationship. Yet, I yielded to God’s will, trusting in His promise, “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose” (Romans 8:28).
God sent prophetesses to deliver a message, “I will dissolve your household” – not a warning, but a notice of His purposes. And so, He did. My wife passed away, and our marriage was dissolved. Though painful, I saw God’s hand at work, “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord” (Isaiah 55:8).
Through this experience, I learned valuable lessons:
– Be at peace with everyone, as long as it depends on you (Romans 12:18).
– Trust God’s timing and purposes (Proverbs 3:5-6).
– Embrace consequences, both good and bad (Hebrews 12:11).
– Keep a soft and tender heart (Psalm 51:17).
– Focus on Heaven, not circumstances (Colossians 3:2).
– Allow God to break and remold you (Psalm 51:16-17).
– Stay in His Word, guided by the Holy Spirit (John 16:13).
– Persevere, waiting for God’s harvest (Galatians 6:9).
– Rejoice in the Lord always (Philippians 4:4).
– Be thankful, praising Him for Who He is (Psalm 100:4-5).
In the midst of trials, God’s faithfulness shines bright. I testify to His sovereignty, guidance, and comfort. May my story encourage you to trust in His goodness and love.
