Introduction
As I reflect on my life, now in my seventh decade, I am filled with a sense of triumph. Not because life has been without its challenges, but because I have tasted the rest of the Lord that He promised. Living a life of peace, sufficiency, and contentment in the Lord feels like a taste of heaven. There is nothing on earth that my heart desires now but Jesus Christ. To live now for me is Christ, to die is gain.
The Tranquility of Solitude and Celibacy
The tranquility of living in solitude and celibacy exemplifies for me a calm in the midst of storm and chaos that life has to offer during this season of life. It is a reminder that God’s peace is not dependent on external circumstances, but rather on His presence in our lives.
A Scripture of Triumph
Today’s scripture, 2 Corinthians 2:14, reminds us that God always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place. This verse is a powerful reminder that our story ends in triumph, not in defeat or mediocrity.
A Word of Hope
The word of hope for today is that God’s plan for us does not end in defeat, but in triumph. We may not understand everything that happens, but we can be confident that God sees the end from the beginning. Sometimes He has to lead us backward in order to take us forward, but ultimately, His plan is to bring us to triumph.
A Prayer for Today
Father, thank You for the promise that You always lead me to triumph through Jesus. Thank You that You are using all of the challenges to work for my good. I’m going to stay in peace, knowing that no obstacle that stands in my way can stop Your plan. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
Conclusion
In conclusion, my story is one of triumph, not because of my own strength or abilities, but because of the rest of the Lord that I have tasted. I am confident that God’s plan for me will come to fruition, and I will experience the fullness of His triumph in my life. May this be an encouragement to all who read this, that no matter what challenges we face, God’s plan is to bring us to triumph.
