Echoes of Eternal Worship: A Reflection on Ephesians 3:20-21

As I stood in the grand sanctuary, surrounded by the majestic architecture and the collective hum of reverent whispers, I felt the weight of worship settle upon me. The words etched on the stone pedestal before me seemed to come alive, echoing the depths of my soul:
“To Him be the Glory”
In this moment, I acknowledged the sovereignty of the Almighty, the One who reigns supreme over all creation. I recognized the majesty that radiates from His throne, the power that courses through every vein of the universe. All glory, praise, and honor belonged to Him alone, and I was but a mere vessel, pouring out my worship like a fragrant offering.
As I gazed deeper into the words, the phrase “To Him be the Honor” resonated within me. I saw the reverence and esteem due to God, the recognition of His authority, wisdom, and goodness. I beheld the character of God, deserving of my respect and admiration, and I bowed my heart in humility.
And then, the final phrase unfolded before me like a tapestry of eternity: “To Him be Adoration Forevermore”. In this moment, I knew that my worship was not bound by time or circumstance. It was an eternal devotion, a love that would continue without end, a testament to God’s timeless and eternal nature.
As I whispered the final “Amen”, I felt the seal of my worship, the confirmation of my heart’s agreement with the sentiments etched on the pedestal. In this sacred space, I had encountered the multifaceted beauty of worship, a reverence that encompassed glory, honor, and adoration, forever and ever.
Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.” – Ephesians 3:20-21 (NIV)
