Introduction
As I recently embark on an endeavor to empower communities and transform lives through the Foundation established in honor of my father, Majji Samuel Megbolugbe, I have met with unexpected opposition. Open hostility from siblings and relatives, criticism from youth, and conflicting priorities from the Obaro of Kabba and the Prelate of the Methodist Church that have served to be discouraging. However, Scripture reminds us that adversity is an inevitable part of doing God’s will.

Anticipating Opposition
1 Corinthians 16:9 says, “For a great and effective door has opened to me, and there are many adversaries.” This verse encourages us to expect challenges when pursuing God’s purpose. If you’re not facing opposition, it may be time to re-examine your assignment or approach [1).

The Nature of Satan’s Attacks
Satan, disguised as an angel of light, seeks to derail God’s plans. His attacks can come through false teaching, unholy thinking, and self-interest. Recognize that these attacks are a sign of respect, indicating that your efforts pose a threat to the kingdom of darkness.

Finding Strength in Adversity
When God calls you to do something difficult, He provides the necessary grace and resources. Jesus’ “easy yoke” refers to a comfortable-fitting burden, not the absence of challenges. As you persevere, remember that the intensity of Satan’s attacks indicates the magnitude of God’s blessing on the other side.

Eternal Rewards
Your greatest rewards won’t come in this life but in the life to come. As the hymnist wrote, “To him that overcometh a crown of life shall be; He with the King of glory shall reign eternally.” Keep your eyes fixed on eternity, and find strength in the promise of eternal rewards.

Standing Firm
In the face of adversity, stand firm, knowing that:

– You’re not alone; many have faced similar challenges.
– God’s grace is sufficient for every obstacle.
– Eternal rewards await those who persevere.

May our faith, as a ministry, be strengthened as we navigate these challenges, and may our Foundation continue to transform lives and empower communities for God’s glory. Amen
