However, God’s love for the world prompted Him to send His Son, Jesus Christ, to bear the punishment for sin, providing a way for humanity to escape eternal separation from God.
The Consequence of Sin
The Bible teaches that sin separates us from God, and the outcome of sin is eternal condemnation in the lake of fire, which is the second death (Revelation 20:15). Romans 3:23 emphasizes that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. This universal problem of sin requires a solution that can restore our relationship with God.
God’s Solution: Jesus Christ
God’s solution to the problem of sin is Jesus Christ, who died on the cross to bear the punishment for our sins. John 3:16 highlights God’s love for the world, demonstrated by giving His only Son, Jesus Christ, so that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.
