As believers, our communication life is deeply impacted by our relationship with God. It is in His presence that our thoughts, words, and speech are sanctified, transformed, and empowered to reflect His wisdom, love, and redemption.

The Bible reminds us that our thoughts and words are intimately connected. Proverbs 16:23-24 states, “The heart of the wise instructs his mouth and adds persuasiveness to his lips. Pleasant words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones.” This scripture highlights the importance of cultivating pleasant thoughts, which in turn give rise to pleasant words that bring healing and joy to ourselves and others.

Our daily fellowship with God plays a vital role in shaping our communication life. Through activities such as prayer, reading and studying the Holy Scriptures, singing and praising God in worship, meditation, stillness, and waiting, we invite God’s presence into our lives. As we abide in Him, our thoughts, words, and speech are schooled and embodied by His wisdom, love, and redemption.

In Philippians 2:5, Paul encourages us to let the mind of Christ be in us. This mindset is not something we can fabricate or fake; rather, it is a natural outcome of spending time with Jesus, allowing Him to adjust our thinking and transform our communication life.

As we surrender our thoughts, words, and speech to God’s sanctifying power, we experience a profound transformation. Our communication life becomes a reflection of God’s wisdom, love, and redemption, bringing healing, joy, and blessing to ourselves and others.

In conclusion, our communication life as believers is deeply impacted by our relationship with God. As we abide in His presence, our thoughts, words, and speech are sanctified, transformed, and empowered to reflect His wisdom, love, and redemption. May we continue to surrender our communication life to God’s sanctifying power, that we may become effective ambassadors of His love and redemption in a world that desperately needs it.
