Prince Emmanuel Olawale Megbolugbe was born in the late 1930s into the esteemed royal family of Prince Majji Samuel Megbolugbe in Odoaofin compound, Kabba town, Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area, Kogi State. As the only son of his mother, Madam Elewokemo, Prince Olawale’s early life was marked by uniqueness.
Early Life and Education
Due to the challenges of growing up in a polygamous household, Prince Olawale’s mother left his father’s household, and he was forced to relocate to Jebba to learn a trade after his father died in 1955, specifically house painting. Later, he returned to Kabba, where he married Madam Elizabeth Dada Megbolugbe. Prince Olawale held a Standard Six School Certificate and worked as a primary school teacher at Methodist Primary School, Kabba, and was also a skilled coffee farmer and subsistence farmer.
Family and Legacy
Prince Olawale and his wife, Elizabeth, had five children: Sunday, James, Adekunle, Funmilayo, and Raphael. After his passing in 1972, his wife remarried and had three more children: Grace, Veronica, and John. His children have gone on to achieve great success in various fields.
