Introduction
Once we put our faith in Jesus Christ, we become justified and become a vessel of honor for the outworking of the work portfolio that God has already prepared to be accomplished by the Holy Spirit in our life. This situation is what is theologically articulated as sanctification. Sanctification is the process of being set apart for God’s purposes and becoming more like Christ.
The Importance of Obedience and Cooperation
As believers, we are called to abide in Christ, just like branches abide in a tree, in order to bear fruit. This requires obedience and cooperation with God’s work in our lives. By yielding to the Holy Spirit, we can produce fruits of righteousness that glorify God and adorn His glory.
Discovering Our Potential
In Ephesians 1:18, we are reminded that the eyes of our understanding can be enlightened to know the hope of God’s calling and the riches of His inheritance in us. This means that we have a potential within us that can be unleashed for God’s glory.
What Do You Have in Your Hand?
The story of Moses and the rod is a powerful reminder that God can use ordinary things to accomplish extraordinary things. What we have in our hands may seem insignificant or intangible, but with God’s perspective, it can become a powerful tool for His glory.
Believing in Our Potential
The challenge comes when we do not believe we have anything of value. But God sees us differently. He sees our potential and the resources we have, no matter how small or insignificant they may seem. By believing in ourselves and our potential, we can tap into the power of God and accomplish great things.
Conclusion
In conclusion, sanctification is a journey of obedience and cooperation with God’s work in our lives. By yielding to the Holy Spirit and believing in our potential, we can produce fruits of righteousness that glorify God. What we have in our hands may seem ordinary, but with God’s perspective, it can become extraordinary. Let’s believe in ourselves and our potential, and trust that God will use us to accomplish great things.
