A Prayerful Transition into 2026

 

Dear God,

Thank you for bringing us through every season of 2025. Your future grace covers us already for 2026. You brought us through January through December, and we don’t deserve to be here, but Your undeserved grace and mercy keep us standing.

 

We’ve faced challenges in our country, world, families, and personal lives, yet we’re still standing. Not everyone made it – we’ve lost loved ones, jobs, and people in our lives. But Your Word says, “Thus far the Lord has helped me,” and that’s our testimony.

 

You’ve been faithful in every season: in victories, losses, and waiting. Your steadfast love never ceases; Your mercies are new every morning. Today, we release what’s no longer needed: regret, guilt, failures, fear, disappointment. We forget the past and look ahead with hope.

 

You said, “See, I am doing a new thing.” We declare nothing was wasted; You work all things together for good (Romans 8:28). We step into 2026 with confidence because we know who goes before us. “The Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore” (Psalm 121:8).

 

May we end 2025 full of joy, gratitude, and expectation for 2026. You aren’t through with us; You have great things planned. We stand on Your promise: “He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion.”

 

We end this year grateful, enter the next believing, and trust You with it all, God. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
