God’s Wrath and Fury
God’s wrath and fury against sin are undeniable and certain. The Bible repeatedly warns of the consequences of sin, emphasizing that God’s judgment will ultimately fall on those who refuse to obey Him. However, God has made provision for humanity to escape this wrath, and it is crucial to understand the terms of this salvation.
The Certainty of God’s Wrath
The Bible leaves no doubt about God’s attitude towards sin. Paul wrote, “For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men” (Romans 1:18). This wrath is not limited to extreme or egregious sins; it encompasses all forms of disobedience and rebellion against God.
The Provision of Salvation
Despite the certainty of God’s wrath, He has provided a way for humanity to escape this judgment. This provision is rooted in God’s love, but it is not the love itself that saves us.
