GIVA Life Testimony Series
An unfolding of lives transformed by real encounters with God in moments where the ordinary intersects with the divine, and nothing remains the same. To reveal how an encounter with God can recalibrate a person’s identity, reshape their desires, and redirect the course of their life across every dimension whether spiritual, emotional, relational, and even vocational. This is evidence of divine impact and personal transformation and restoration, confusion and weakness gives way to clarity and grace. These encounters ripple outward, touching families, communities, and spheres of influence in ways that reflect God’s active presence. As this series unfolds, it offers a window into how individuals come to truly see God, not as a distant concept, but as a living, personal reality revealed through experience, deepened through reflection, and proclaimed through testimony.
Our prayer is that God would breathe on this series — that each testimony would become bread for the Body of Christ and a trumpet to humanity at large. That the broken would find a trellis to climb, the weary would find shade to rest, and the rebellious would find a plumb line to measure by.
If Romans 8:28 is the root and Proverbs 11:30 is the fruit, then let the Life Testimony Series be the tree of life planted in the courts of GIVA Ministries International.
May He who works all things together use these stories to confluence despair into hope, trepidation into courage, and resignation into resurrection — for His glory alone. Amen 🙏
From Seed to Soul: The Anatomy of a Transformed Life
A Christian testimony is more than a story; it is an unfolding of lives transformed by real encounters with God, where the ordinary intersects with the divine, and nothing remains the same. It begins with the gift of faith, seeded in the soil of the heart, waiting for the intentional, free-will choice to believe. When an individual exercises this authority to choose belief, the seed germinates, eventually bearing fruits of the Holy Spirit. This process is not merely self-improvement; it is a profound metamorphosis from a “heart of stone” to a “heart of flesh,” showcasing God’s active power in human life.
The First Testimony: The Germination of Faith
The initial, transformative impact of God occurs when a seed of faith, nurtured by God’s Word, develops into a matured, fruitful life. According to the Bible, these are the fruits of the Holy Spirit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. This transformation isn’t an overnight event but a process of yielding to the Spirit’s power rather than relying on willpower. The Seed: The initial hearing of the Gospel and the decision to trust God.The Soil: The human heart, which must be cultivated through daily devotion and obedience. The Fruit: The natural outgrowth of being connected to Christ, the “True Vine,” which transforms character from the inside out.
The Second Testimony: Discipleship and Living Prototypes
The second testimony occurs as this matured character, cultivated by the Holy Spirit, transforms a person’s life into a prototype that others can inhabit. While the world calls this a “role model,” the Bible calls it discipleship—a life so changed by Jesus that it reflects His mannerisms, love, and patience.
Multiplication: This is how the Body of Christ grows. Just as a plant bears seeds that create more plants, a transformed life replicates itself by guiding others toward the Kingdom.Active Witness: A disciple is not just someone who believes, but someone who is following Jesus, being changed by Him, and committed to His mission.
The Testimony of Surrender: Waiting in the Vineyard
Another powerful testimony arises when our trust in God leads to profound surrender, waiting for Him to act in the “vineyard” of our lives. This stage involves moving from striving to “be good” to resting in the empowerment of the Holy Spirit. It is a deliberate choice to let go of our own agendas and submit to God’s will, echoing Jesus in Gethsemane: “Not my will, but yours be done”. This act of surrendering allows God to be God, resulting in a life that bears lasting fruit, not by human effort, but by divine intervention.
The Continued Harvest
A Christian testimony is an ongoing narrative of God’s faithfulness, showcasing that the transformation is a lifelong journey of faith rather than a single event. It is a powerful witness that God is still active, changing lives, healing wounds, and restoring hope to those who surrender their lives to Him.
