The Power of Surrender: Attracting God’s Glory through the Spirit’s Work

As I reflect on my journey with God, I’ve come to realize that only the work of the Spirit of God in us attracts God’s Glory. This profound truth has transformed my understanding of what it means to live a life that honors God.

God’s desire for us is not to strive for self-improvement or achieve greatness through our own strength. Rather, He wants us to empty ourselves, surrendering our will to His, so that He can fill us with His Spirit. This surrender allows the Spirit to do the work that God has prepared beforehand, for His own purposes and glory.

Personally, I experienced this surrender when I abandoned my plans to pursue an MBA and accounting certifications after discovering that Creative-AI technology had already solved the problems I wanted to address. Instead, the Lord prompted me to explore how Creative-AI works and led me to start a Holy Spirit-driven ministry. I learned that surrender, not more knowledge or expertise, is the key to experiencing God’s power.

When we comprehend that we are mere vessels, created for God’s workmanship, we will remain humble and surrendered. This surrender is crucial to experiencing the amazing fruits and harvest of righteousness that we all seek. Any work done in our own strength is mere fleshly effort, devoid of God’s power. It’s only when the Spirit works in us, empowering us to accomplish impossible tasks, that God’s Glory is reflected.

This is the essence of Christianity – receiving what Christ has done for us and responding in love and obedience. As Paul prayed in Ephesians 1:18-19, may we know the incomparably great power of God, which is the same mighty strength that raised Christ from the dead. May we experience this power in our lives, pursuing God-ordained dreams that require His strength and wisdom.

In surrendering to the Father’s will, we open ourselves to the Spirit’s work, and it’s there that we’ll find the true reflection of God’s goodness and glory.

Ability to discern God’s voice/Spirit leading enables one surrender in humility even if it’s not so pleasant at the moment. Thank God for His unending grace.
