Tribute to My Beloved Mother: Princess Mary Oluwafunke Megbolugbe

Clara Megbolugbe Komolafe

September 5, 2024

Introduction

On September 3rd, 2024, I bid a painful farewell to my extraordinary mother, a rare gem whose impact on my life and the lives of those around her is immeasurable. Her selfless heart, warm smile, and unwavering love endeared her to many, leaving an indelible mark on our community. My mother’s devotion to raising her children in the fear of God was unshakeable. She instilled in us a strong sense of discipline, guiding us with love and compassion. Her deep Catholic faith was the cornerstone of her life, evident in every aspect of her being.

Married to Mr. Adeyemi Megbolugbe, her journey was not without its challenges. Yet, she stood firm, a pillar of strength for her children. Through every trial, she supported us, and today, her legacy shines brightly through our accomplishments.

I, Fab Clara, am a proud graduate of Banking and Finance, running a successful spa for over 20 years. My younger brother, Tunde, excels as an accountant and businessman in Lagos, while our sister Tosin thrives in estate management and entrepreneurship, also building a loving family of her own.

Our mother’s legacy is one of love, faith, and care for those around her. She left us with a spirit of generosity, compassion, and strength, values we carry with us every day. Her love continues to guide us, inspiring us to make a positive impact in the world.

Rest in peace, my beloved mother. May God’s mercy speak for you, and may His grace overshadow every judgment. I love you, Mom. Rest well.

Further Reflections

As I reflect more on your life, I continue to be filled with gratitude for the sacrifices you made for our family. Your tireless efforts to provide for us, your unwavering support, and your unrelenting prayers shaped us into the individuals we are today.

Your love was unconditional, your kindness unparalleled, and your generosity inspiring. You had a heart of gold, always putting others before yourself. Your presence lit up the room, and your smile could brighten even the darkest of days.

I will miss you dearly, Mom, but I take comfort in the memories we shared, the lessons you taught me, and the values you instilled in me. Your legacy will live on through me, and I promise to make you proud.

As I say goodbye, I know that you are now in a better place, free from pain and suffering. I will carry you in my heart always, and I look forward to the day when we will be reunited again.

Rest in peace, my beloved mother. Your love, guidance, and support will never be forgotten.

Your daughter,

Fab Clara

Beloved sister, I was so shocked when I saw your burial IV on SMOGA platform. I never heard you were sick. You were a very sweet and loving person. You were very gentle and smiled at all times. You lived a beautiful life and raised through God’s grace, wonderful children. You live on in your children and your memory cannot be blotted. You were beautiful inside out. May God continue to watch over your children whom you loved with your whole heart. You were a great woman. May your soul and the souls of the faithful departed through the mercy of God rest in peace. Amen. May God console your children, other loved ones and all of us in Jesus’ mighty name Amen.. We miss you so much. Rest on till we meet to part no more on the resurrection morning.

A Tribute to our Beloved Aunt and Mother.

With a heavy hearts we honour and remember a remarkable soul, our beloved aunty and mother, whose presence in our lives was nothing short of a blessing.

She was not just an aunt; she was a true parent to us, guiding us with her words, comforting us in times of need, and sharing in both the joys and challenges of life. We will forever cherish the memories we created together, the laughter, and the many moments of genuine connection.

Thank you for everything you were to us and to all who had the privilege of knowing you. You will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Your love and light will continue to guide us, even in your absence.

Rest in peace, dear mummy Olu. You will forever hold a special place in our hearts.

    With love and gratitude,
    Williams and Kate Onaiyekan
