The Bible teaches that when we prioritize our relationship with Him and live according to His will, He promises to meet our needs and grant us a future filled with hope. This article explores the doctrine of walking in our purpose and passion first, with prosperity and fulfillment following, as rooted in Scripture.
Seeking God’s Kingdom First
In Matthew 6:33, Jesus instructs us to “seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” This verse emphasizes the importance of prioritizing our relationship with God, trusting that He will provide for our needs as we seek His kingdom.
Delighting in God’s Presence
Psalm 37:4-5 encourages us to “delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord; trust in Him, and He will act.” When we find joy in God’s presence and surrender our plans to Him, we can trust that He will fulfill our desires and plans.
God’s Plans for Prosperity
Jeremiah 29:11 reminds us that God has “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” This verse highlights God’s desire to prosper us, not just spiritually but also in every aspect of our lives.
Transformed by God’s Will
Romans 12:2 urges us to “be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—His good, pleasing and perfect will.” As we align our thoughts and actions with God’s will, we can trust that He will guide us into a life of purpose and fulfillment.
