Similarly, the statement suggests that faith is like the body made from dust, incomplete and lifeless on its own. Works, on the other hand, represent the breath of God that brings faith to life, making it a living and dynamic force.
Just as Adam’s body was incomplete without the breath of God, faith is incomplete without works. Works are the manifestation of faith, and they give faith its vitality and purpose. In this sense, faith and works are interconnected, just like the body and the breath of God in the creation story.
